Using simple shapes and Blend Modes in Layers can create astonishingly complex abstract paintings. In this lesson, I’ll introduce you to the different Blend Modes and how they work in the Layers Panel.

1. Create two to three simple shapes on each layer.

2. Create at least three layers.

3. Use Blend Modes to manipulate the layers.

4. One layer should use Alpha Lock.
